The well has proved oil and gas in the Cara prospect,  six km NE of the Gjøa field and 55 km SW of Fløro. Dry Solaris Well

Total have announced that Exploration wildcat well 1/5-5  on the Solaris prospect is dry. The HPHT well was drilled with the Maersk Gallant rig in PL618 in the Central Graben about 40 km northwest of the Ekofisk field. Discovery in Langfjellet Prospect

 Det norske oljeselskap ASA (“Det norske”), operator of PL 442, has announced that drilling of exploration well 25/2-18 S on the Langfjellet prospect in the North Sea is about to be completed.  Faroe have announced the completion of a successful side-track appraisal well on the Brasse discovery in licence PL740 in the Norwegian North Sea (Faroe 50% and operator). The objective of the Brasse side-track well (31/7-1A) was to appraise the south-eastern part of the hydrocarbon bearing structure previously identified by the main discovery well. 16/5-6: Rome Prospect Dry

 Tullow has completed drilling of the exploration well 16/5-6 on the Rome prospect in production licence PL776 in the Central North Sea. The well did not encounter any hydrocarbons and will now be plugged and abandoned. According to Faroe, the well encountered approximately 18 m of gross gas-bearing and 21 m of gross oil-bearing Jurassic reservoir, which Faroe believe to be analogous to the effective reservoir of the Brage Field.
